Collaboration with Panasonic!
Purchasing a Panasonic hair dryer can contribute to plastic reduction and nature conservation!

2025.5.21

The Nature Conservation Society of Japan (NACS-J) works with many private corporations and organizations to address the urgent issues facing our oceans and beaches, such as the loss of natural coastlines and plastic pollution.

We are pleased to share that Panasonic Corporation has once again donated a portion of the sales from its environmentally friendly hair dryer, Hair Dryer nanocare EH-NA0J-H (released in 2023), a hair dryer that uses significantly less plastic. This generous contribution supports NACS-J’s ongoing efforts to protect the ocean and sandy beaches.

Marine pollution is a serious global issue that threatens biodiversity in oceans and on beaches worldwide. NACS-J collaborates with many companies and organizations to conduct beach clean-up activities and to study and protect the wildlife inhabiting sandy shores.

As part of supporting these efforts to protect the ocean and beaches, Panasonic has donated a portion of the sales from its environmentally-conscious Hair Dryer nanocare.

Panasonic not only donates part of the sales revenue to nature conservation groups but also actively works to reduce the environmental impact of its products. The Hair Dryer nanocare EH-NA0J-H model reduces plastic usage by making the main unit smaller and lighter—cutting approximately the equivalent of one plastic PET bottle in plastic. Additionally, by switching the cushioning material in the packaging from plastic to pulp, Panasonic has reduced plastic use in packaging by about 95% *.

This generous donation will be utilized to protect the biodiversity-rich oceans and sandy beaches. NACS-J and Panasonic will also use this collaboration as an opportunity to jointly promote initiatives aimed at achieving a nature-positive future, including biodiversity conservation activities involving Panasonic employees.

NACS-J will continue to work closely with companies and local communities to advance efforts toward realizing a nature-positive society.
